Political Tensions in Ekumfi Spark Calls for Refocus on Governance
A strong message has been directed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ekumfi Constituency, calling for a renewed focus on development and unity.
According to Amb. Hon. Abraham Armah, Assembly member of Ekumfi, the people of Ekumfi entrusted the NDC with power based on a clear expectation—development. However, recent developments within the constituency, particularly internal divisions and conflicts, are raising concerns among residents.
He emphasized that Ekumfi is no longer a passive political landscape, noting that the youth have become more informed, observant, and decisive. As such, leadership must rise above internal disputes and deliver on its mandate.
“Leadership is a responsibility, not an opportunity for disunity and distractions,” he stated, urging party members to refocus their efforts on tangible development. Amb. Hon. Abraham Armah further cautioned that, with the next general elections approaching, accountability will be crucial, and the electorate will assess performance based on results and commitment.
He also noted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is actively positioning itself to present what it describes as a better alternative to the people of Ekumfi. The message concludes with a call to action for the NDC in Ekumfi to unite, reorganize, and prioritize development before time runs out.
